MONTAÑA MÁGICA LODGE - CHILE

 In the middle of the Biological Reserve of Huilo-Huilo, there is a special hotel that will make you believe that you are lodged inside a mountain.  

 In harmony with nature, this sustainable hotel, is made of local raw like wood and built by local artisans from Neltume and Puerto Fuy. Respect and to take care of the environment is the philosophy of this place, surrounded by centenary forests and mountains.

 The location is inside the Neltume, Chilean region, which is part of the Patagonian area. The landscape is one of the last seven temperate rainforest in the world.

 The interior of the hotel is full of lovely little details and it is surrounded by exotic vegetation.

The minimum stay is of 2 nights and there are rooms from 1 person to 4 (4 suite of 15m2 in the base of the building with a cot, the 5 standard in the middle, and the 2 “cabañas” cabins for 6 and 8 persons, the 3 “camarotes” cabins in the top floor). Children under 4 for free and pets are forbidden to protect the flora and fauna. If you want to cancel your booking you must do it 15 days before the check-in, if not you will be charged with one night payment. For 2 nights and 2 persona the prices go from the “camarote” room price of 464,73 EUR – 285.600 CLP, that is the cheapest room, up until the suite room price of 581,24 EUR – 357.200 CLP.

 There are facilities like laundry, sauna, bar and a restaurant and activities for children like the mini golf, the reading lounge or a playroom.

 The activities for everybody are trekking, horseback, vehicle expeditions, canopy, mountain bike, kayak, sailing, fly fishing, mountaineering, snow adventure and thermal baths.

 Close to the magic mountain there are attractions like: The Snow Adventure Center, the Pirehueico Lake Crossing,  the Lawenko Spa, the Brewery, Restaurants, Magical Creatures and the Volcano Museum.

SLEEP IN CAPSULES

Hello one day more!

In this post we are going to talk about a current phenomenon in Japan. Look at the picture below:

It seems a doghouse but is the room of a hotel. No bathroom, no view, no closet. It is the fashion of capsule hotels in Japan.

What are capsule hotels?  

Basically are hotels where you don’t rent a room but a kind of closed bunk . Each capsule has a television, radio, Wi-Fi and air conditioned.

The bathrooms are common and most of these hotels have restaurants, or at least, vending machines, swimming pool and other entertainment facilities.

The reason for these hotels is to have a cheap alternative of accommodation. There are designed for people who works in Tokyo but lives miles of it and they miss the last train. For tourists also can be an unforgettable experience.

The first capsule hotel was designed by Kisho Kurokawa and was open to the public in 1979 in Osaka’s city.

It is impossible to spend a night in central Tokyo cheaper than here. It costs from 20 to 40 euro per person, which is quite hard to beat.

The capsule hotels are not recommended for claustrophobic people !

Sala Silvermine Hotel, sleeps inside a silver mine

Good afternoon dear readers,

Browsing the internet has given this hotel that will delight lovers of adventure. This is the Sala Silvermine Hotel, located in the mines of the same name, in the town of Sala, Sweden, 120 kilometers from Stockholm. In this accommodation, guests can sleep up to 155 meters underground in a cool, dark ... but extremely beautiful.

 





The historic Sala Silvermine mining is one of the best preserved in the world, full of labyrinthine galleries leading to total darkness, magic mirror lakes and caverns full of mystery. The Sala Silvermine is charged from the 60m to the 155m we recommend the suites before reaching the suites are done visiting the mines with a guide who shall finally lead us to our suites underground. These suites for 2 people, with a shower, but the toilet were outside in the hallway.

Les ecotagnes - A night in the trees

Before we show you another unique and special hotel we ask you a question. Have you never dreamed of having a house in the trees when you were young?

For the next hotel you can make that your dream comes true or for your children.

Les Ecotagnes is a hotel which is located in France in the town of Haute-Savoie near Annecy and La Clusaz.

This hotel offers to guests the chance to spend a night in a cabin hung on trees or in a tipi as West Indians.

Les Ecotagnes is a magical place that will appeal to all lovers of nature and wellness. In a unique and serene place , you can enjoy delicious dishes from the region of Savoie Aravis contemplating a Scandinavian bath awaits you for a relaxing time.

The Ecotagnes are 9 meters above the ground anchored to the surrounding trees. It is not necessary to present the knowledge to enjoy climbing peaks. Each hut, made ​​of wood, is equipped with a double bed and a wood stove for a warm year round, also has a private terrace for guests.

In our opinion it is a fantastic hotel but the only thing we miss is a bathroom in the room in the tree house and in the tipi, or you will go to the main building at midnight for an emergency?
